Patient Participation Group Message to All Horizon Healthcare Patients

We are all living in very difficult times and each and every one of us has had to change the way we live our lives. This has been brought about by the Coronovirus (Covid-19), that is sweeping through the country and the rest of the world.

Horizon Healthcare has put in place new procedures to ensure that it is able to continue providing all of us with the medical care we demand. To do so has required radical changes to the way the Practice serves us. Some may find these inconvenient, but we can assure you they are absolutely necessary to protect you, your family members, friends and of course the staff at the surgery.

Please think on, should the Practice be subject to the virus itself, this would without doubt, seriously affect the health care that you receive and could even result in the closure of Horizon Healthcare for some time.

So please follow the advice you have been given and stay safe. If you have particular difficulties with these arrangements, then either telephone, email or website your issue direct to the Practice. It will do all it can to help you.

Finally, a small number of patients have been extremely abusive, indeed, threatening to front line staff. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Please have respect for all employees at this very difficult time and treat them with the respect and courteous they deserve.
